Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Crosshair Pro (the “App”) handles information. Crosshair Pro is a tool for designing and exporting crosshair configurations for games such as Counter-Strike 2 / CS:GO and VALORANT, and it also includes optional community features (a public feed, profiles, chat and direct messages, and a looking-for-group board). Please read this policy together with our Terms of Service, EULA, and Community Guidelines.
1. Information Stored Only on Your Device
The following data is created and kept on your device and is not sent to us:
- App preferences — e.g. selected game, haptics on/off, preview autoplay, onboarding completion status.
- Saved crosshairs — crosshairs you save locally, including a name you enter, the game, the share code, and a creation timestamp.
- Free-copy credits — your credit balance and the date credits were last granted, used to manage free copies for non-subscribers. To prevent abuse (for example, deleting and reinstalling to reset free credits), this credit state is stored in the device Keychain, which can persist after the App is deleted. It contains only credit counters and dates — no personal information.
- Cached subscription status — a locally cached flag indicating whether your subscription is active, so the App can unlock features quickly offline.
2. Community Account and Content (Optional Features)
If you choose to use the community features, you create a username and an associated app identity. This does not require your real name, email, or phone number. To provide these features, we process and store on our servers:
- Your username and profile — the username, display information, selected game/rank, avatar selection, and similar profile details you enter.
- Content you publish — crosshairs you share to the community feed (name, game, share code), along with likes, comments, and follows.
- Messages — global chat messages and direct messages you send, stored so they can be delivered and displayed to their recipients.
- Looking-for-group (LFG) posts — the listings you create to find teammates.
- Friends and social graph — friend requests, friendships, follows, and blocks you create.
- Moderation data — reports you submit, blocks you set, and records needed to keep the community safe and enforce our Community Guidelines.
Content you publish or send may be visible to other users. Please do not share sensitive personal information in public posts, profiles, or messages.
3. Technical Data We Process for the Community Backend
Our community backend runs on Cloudflare. When you use community features, our servers necessarily process:
- IP address — used transiently for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
- Push-notification device token — if you enable notifications, we store an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token so we can deliver notifications (for example, a new direct message, a friend request, or a mention). You can disable notifications at any time in the iOS Settings app; the App works without them.
4. Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We use Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC, to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. This collects aggregate, non-personal information such as app interactions and events (screens viewed, features used, session counts); technical information such as app version, device model, OS version, language, and approximate region/country; and a Google/Firebase-generated app-instance identifier used to count and de-duplicate sessions. We use this only in aggregate, do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising or cross-app/website tracking. Because we do not collect the IDFA, the App does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
5. Purchases and Subscriptions
Crosshair Pro offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions and/or one-time purchases that unlock premium features.
- Apple processes all payments through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Adapty is our subscription-management provider. To verify, restore, and manage entitlements, Adapty processes purchase information (such as transaction and receipt data, product identifiers, country, and a randomly generated app user ID) and limited device information. See Adapty’s Privacy Policy.
We use this information only to deliver, validate, and restore your purchases and to determine whether premium features should be unlocked. We do not use it for advertising or sell it.
6. Notifications
The App may schedule local notifications on your device (for example, a reminder that a free copy is available) and, if you enable them, send push notifications from our server for community events such as a new direct message, friend request, or mention (see Section 3). You can disable notifications at any time in the iOS Settings app.
7. How We Use Information
- provide the App’s on-device features;
- operate the optional community features and deliver your content and messages;
- keep the community safe (moderation, reports, blocking, abuse prevention);
- measure aggregate usage and improve the App (analytics, Section 4); and
- deliver, validate, and restore your purchases (Section 5).
We do not use any information for advertising, profiling of identified individuals, or sale.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
On-device data remains until you delete it (by clearing saved crosshairs or uninstalling the App). Keychain-stored credit counters may persist after deletion as described in Section 1; contact us if you would like them reset. Community content and account data are retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your community account and associated server-side content by emailing us at unsalonerr@gmail.com; we will delete or anonymize it, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or abuse-prevention purposes. Analytics data is retained by Google per our configured retention period; purchase records held by Apple and Adapty follow their policies.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Security
We rely on Apple’s platform protections, on-device storage, the Keychain, and our infrastructure provider’s security controls for the community backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights regarding personal data, including access, correction, and deletion. Most on-device data can be removed directly by you. For community account data, contact us to exercise your rights. For analytics handled by Google or purchase data handled by Apple and Adapty, you may also exercise rights through those providers. We do not sell personal information.
12. International Users
The App can be used worldwide. Information processed by our providers — Google (analytics), Apple and Adapty (purchases), and Cloudflare (community backend) — may be processed in the United States or other countries, subject to their respective policies and appropriate safeguards.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, within the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
